A Support Group for Survivors of Clergy Sexual Abuse

Clergy sexual abuse has a devastating impact on individuals and families causing psychological, spiritual, and physical harm.  In an effort to help victim/survivors in their healing from this painful experience, the Diocese of Oakland, through the Outreach Ministry to survivors of clergy sexual abuse, offers support groups to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

No More Secrets Support Group is a mutual help support group providing an opportunity for personal sharing, prayerful reflection, and spiritual renewal.

    • Every even month (February, April, June, August, October, and December) groups are guided by a therapist with pastoral and clinical expertise.
    • Focus is mutual support rather than therapy.
    • Confidential meetings are open ended; new participants are welcome at any time.
    • Information on community resources for domestic and sexual violence as well as on referrrals to local mental health professionals is available.
    • Spouses and family members are welcome to participate.

When: The first Saturday of even months - unless the day falls on a legal holiday

Where: Santa Maria Parish Library (upper tier), 40 Santa Maria Way, Orinda
